Switzerland Travel Guide: Day Trips, Hidden Villages, and the Places a Local Would Take You

I live here. These are the places I actually go to.

Switzerland is my home. I live in Zurich, and after years of exploring this country on weekends, day trips, and spontaneous detours, I’ve built a collection of places that most visitors never find. The famous spots are famous for a reason: Lucerne, Interlaken, the Matterhorn. But the Switzerland I love most is the one between the postcards: the small villages, the quiet lakes, the mountain restaurants where nobody speaks English and the view costs nothing.

This guide is growing. I’m building it the way I travel: slowly, honestly, and only with places I’ve been myself. Check back soon for the first articles.
