Northeastern Arizona is the part of the state many road trips skip, and that’s what makes it so interesting. Much of the region is Navajo Nation land, with landscapes and history you won’t find anywhere else. Here you’ll find my guides to Chocolate Falls (Grand Falls), which I visited before it closed, the ancient cliff dwellings of Canyon de Chelly, and the fossil wood and Painted Desert of Petrified Forest National Park. Please respect local rules and closures when you visit. All guides are based on my own trips.
